Monster Hunter Outlanders Weakness Chart
Every monster we could find, with its element ratings, weak parts and best status ailments. Filter by element to see what your character hits hardest. Each row shows how strong the evidence is, because the game is new and sources still disagree.
Quick answer
Anjanath is weak to Water, Barroth to Fire, Rathalos and Rathian to Dragon, Diablos to Ice, and Paolumu to Fire. Radiant forms can differ: Radiant Rathian is weak to Thunder. The full chart below covers 34 monsters.

How to read this weakness chart
Ratings copy the game's own marks, from ◆◆◆ for the strongest down to ◆. A dash means no source has published that rating. Tobi-Kadachi is unusual because no element reaches the top mark, so Fire, Water and Ice tie at ◆◆.
(s) means a part is weakest to sever damage, and (b) to blunt. "Secondary" means the source lists a part as a lesser weak point because none earned its top mark.
How to use weak points in a hunt
Garena's official hunting guide says weak points are usually on the head, the tail, the wings or the soft plating of the belly. You can use the lock-on button to target different weak points, and precise hits there noticeably speed up Stun buildup and part breaks. That post went out before launch and doesn't give a list for each monster, so the parts in this chart still come from Gamerch.
How much can you trust each row?
We parsed the source tables ourselves and compared them cell by cell. We haven't recorded these in-game, and we haven't found an official table for each monster.
- Two sources agree (22 monsters): Game8 and Gamerch name the same top element.
- One source (8): only one publisher lists it. Game8's English and Japanese pages share a publisher, so they count as one.
- Sources conflict (1): for Radiant Jyuratodus, Game8 gives Ice the top mark and Gamerch marks nothing. We don't pick a side.
- Not published (3): Nergigante, Radiant Rathalos and Radiant Diablos have no element data yet.
Full five-element ratings come from Game8 alone. Weak parts and status come from Gamerch alone, so treat those as reported. Check your in-game Hunter's Notes if a hunt depends on it.
Why we left some charts out
Some weakness charts online are built from the closed betas, and one says so openly. We didn't use those. We also didn't fill gaps from Monster Hunter Wilds or World, because the same monster can have different weaknesses in a different game. Black Diablos isn't listed, since we couldn't confirm it has been released.
Monster weaknesses by element
Use the buttons above the chart to list everything weak to one element. Then the build planner shows which adventurers and visage sets match, and our visage guide explains the set bonuses. If you spot a mistake, a screenshot of your Hunter's Notes is the best evidence. Send it to us.
Data from Game8 monster list (Nov 3, 2026), Game8 Japan weakness table (Nov 2, 2026), Gamerch MHO Wiki (Oct 29, 2026). We compiled this from those sources and have not tested it in-game.
