Quick answer
The official site names seven weapon types: Long Sword, Hammer, Dual Blades, Great Sword, Bow, Lance and Heavy Bowgun. Third-party databases also list the Charge Blade as an eighth type, though the official site doesn’t name it yet. Series weapons such as the Gunlance are reported missing for now.

Weapon types named officially
The official site names seven:
| Weapon type | Named on the official site |
|---|---|
| Long Sword | Yes |
| Hammer | Yes |
| Dual Blades | Yes |
| Great Sword | Yes |
| Bow | Yes |
| Lance | Yes |
| Heavy Bowgun | Yes |
Is the Charge Blade in the game?
Almost certainly. The official site's list still names seven types, but GameWith's adventurer list has a Fated Adventurer for an eighth weapon, the Charge Blade. Fextralife calls it one of the game's weapon types and has a page of Charge Blades. That's strong evidence from third parties, though it isn't an official statement. Your in-game weapon list settles it.
Switch Axe, Charge Axe or Charge Blade?
A Reddit thread asks about a "Switch Axe" in this game, and commenters suspect a translation mix-up over the name. We couldn't open the thread directly to check all the replies, and none of the weapon lists we read include a Switch Axe. So if you see "Switch Axe" and "Charge Blade" used for what looks like the same weapon in this game, it's worth checking which one your client actually shows before you plan a build around it.
For context, in the mainline series these are two different weapons. The Japanese shorthand スラアク means Switch Axe, while Charge Blade has its own name.
Which adventurers use which weapon?
From GameWith's adventurer list. Fated Adventurers exist for all eight weapons and can use any element.
| Weapon | SSR adventurers | SR adventurers |
|---|---|---|
| Great Sword | Pyro (Dragon) | Luxheart (Thunder) |
| Long Sword | Midori (Fire) | Ryunosuke (Fire) |
| Dual Blades | Keres (Dragon), Haze (Thunder) | Raya (Fire) |
| Lance | Arkaya (Dragon) | Ouyang Varen (Water) |
| Hammer | Rhodes (Ice) | None listed |
| Heavy Bowgun | Pepper (Water) | None listed |
| Bow | Luka (Thunder) | Madelyn (Water) |
| Charge Blade | None listed | None listed |
To match these to a hunt, use the build planner.
Which series weapons are missing?
Players have complained that the full set of 14 series weapons isn't here, and an App Store review specifically mentions the Gunlance. One fan wiki says the developers plan more weapon types through updates, but we haven't found an official list or date.
Are weapons in the gacha?
Pocket Gamer reports that the gacha applies to characters and not to weapons. You craft and upgrade weapons in the game. That matters if you're worried about spending. See is it pay to win?
Which weapon is the best?
We don't know, and we'd be wary of anyone who's sure. Weapon tier lists are everywhere, but damage numbers aren't well documented yet. At least one fan wiki admits its tier lists are "provisional estimates" and not in-game measurements. We won't publish one until we can back it up. Pick the one you enjoy, because you'll spend a lot of hours with it.
Keeping track of your weapons
If you keep losing track of what you've already crafted, use the gear tracker to list your weapons and spot duplicates before you spend materials.
